And there's truly nothing like cycling to Pangani with the glittering sea beside you, the sun on your face, and an open road before you.
Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrive in Tanzania
You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transferred to Keys Hotel near Moshi town situated on the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Today you will meet your guide who will brief you about your upcoming tour and together you will do the bike fitting. For those arriving on the morning or afternoon flight, you will have ample time to go for a quick test ride through the Forest

DAY 2: Moshi - Lushoto
Drive to Lushoto and overnight at Rosminia hostel in Lushoto
DAY 3: Lushoto – Lukozi - Rangwi
Sights / scenery: Rain forests, traditional villages and Cultural interactions, good landscape.
Road: All dirt with up and down hill.
Distance: 50km
Dinner and accommodation at Rangwi.
DAY 4: Rangwi – Mtae - Jiwe la Mungu
Sights / scenery: Traditional villages, view points at Mtae, “the World View Point” then Jiwe la Mungu(God’s foot print)
Road: All dirt with up and down hill
Distance: 55km
Dinner and overnight at Gologolo campsite
DAY 5: Jiwe la Mungu – Mkuzu – Soni – Bumbuli - 64km
Sights / scenery: Tropical rain forest, view points, traditional villages, waterfall, tea plantations.
Road: All dirty with up and down hill
Distance: 64km
-Dinner and overnight at Bumbuli campsite
DAY 6: Bumbuli - Mpalalu or Matawanda
Sights / scenery: Traditional villages with spectacular seminaries, tea plantations and factory on the way , tropical rain forest
Road: All dirt with up and fantastic drop to the lower elevation over the savannah.
Distance: 46km
Dinner and camping at Mpalalu/Matawanda village.
DAY 7: Mpalalu - Amani
Sights / scenery: Traditional villages with amazing views and cross cultural exchange to Amani Nature reserve, Amani Tea Plantations,botanical garden,Tea Factory,village and butterfly farming tour.
Road: All dirt with up and down hill
Distance: 37km
Dinner and overnight at Zigi Rest house,in Amani.
Bottanical garden rich in biodiversity
DAY 8: Amani – Muheza - Pangani. 65km.
Road: Downhill to Muheza and flats all the way to Pangani.
Distance: 65km
Activities in Pangani: (On request) Snorkeling, historical and cultural tours

DAY 9: Pagani to Moshi
After breakfast, we will put the bikes on the carrier and drive back to Moshi.
